The Welcome Hall
Heartytalk is for people carrying profound grief who are still showing up for everyone else. The hall explains why it exists and who leads it, Dr. Ezi Az’Fredrick, a Chartered Psychologist with a PhD in Counselling Psychology.
- The belief we challenge. Functioning and recovering are two different things, and the gap between them has a measurable cost.
- The David Recovery Method. A proprietary framework built on thirteen grief episodes in the record of King David. Its three moves are Face It, Feel It and Forge It.
- The Grief Loop. Four stages: Suppression, Disruption, Disconnection and Rebuild.
- Six Grief DNA archetypes. The Strategic Processor, the Identity Guardian, the Fortress Builder, the Composed Carrier, the High-Functioning Performer and the Meaning Architect.
Room one: Grief to Glow
The entry point: three live evenings with Dr. Ezi. Day 1 is Face It, Day 2 is Feel It and Day 3 is Forge It, which closes with the 4 Ideals (Ideal Self, Ideal Life, Ideal Career, Ideal Future).
The demo. Six stones carry phrases people use to keep going, such as “I’m fine” and “Later”. Each stone you carry slows you down. When you set one down in the basin, it shows its plain version, for example: “I am not fine, and I am still standing.”
Room two: The Chrysalis Programme
A 15-week programme following the life cycle of a butterfly: Egg, Caterpillar, Chrysalis, Emergence and Flight, three weeks each, with one live session per stage. Places are by application after a screening conversation, and cohorts are capped at twelve.
The demo. You stand on five pads in order and watch the sculpture change from egg to flight.
Room three: Legacy and one-to-one
For people who want to go further after the programme: a year of one-to-one coaching with Dr. Ezi, focused on sustaining what has changed. Flight, the final stage, is about what remains and what you build from it.
The demo. The Six Dials are Carrying Load, Suppression, Connection, Function, Meaning and Bond. Standing at “Week 0” and then “Week 15” shows an illustrative example, not a real participant: Function stays the same while the dials underneath it change.
